Tutu Wossene
French/Mandarin Primary Classroom Assistant
Ms. Tutu has been a beloved part of SBMA since 2001, beginning under the leadership of our school founder, Anna Neri. Originally from Ethiopia, she is fluent in Amharic, French, and English. She completed her studies at Lycée Franco GebreMariam in Addis Ababa and post secondary education at the Technical Training Institute at Montparnasse in Paris, France. Known for her deep commitment to our community and years of Montessori experience, Ms. Tutu especially enjoys working with sensorial and math materials. Students often seek her out for lessons with the binomial cube or sandpaper numerals.
Ms. Tutu enjoys sharing her culture through cooking, spending time with loved ones, and staying active in her faith community. Her wisdom and dedication make her a cherished part of SBMA’s history and daily life. “Working in early childhood education is to sow a seed that you will reap the fruits of later. It has taught me patience, loyalty, and tenderness.”
